| Technical purpose of product or process | StoCryl RB is used as a crack-bridging coating for the protection and coloring of crack-prone concrete structures (concrete and reinforced concrete). The main components of the product are an acrylic based binder, filler, water, pigment and small amounts of solvent and additives. StoCryl RB can be used for the coloured decoration of concrete areas as part of the StoCretec concrete repair system in building structures or as a part of the surface protection systems in accordance with EN 1504-2. Application is done manually or with an airless sprayer. StoCryl RB is not suitable for horizontal water-stressed surfaces and not suitable for surfaces with pedestrian and vehicle traffic. For the placing on the market of the product in the European Union/European Free Trade Association (EU/EFTA) (with the exception of Switzerland) Regulation (EU) No. 305/2011 (CPR) applies. The product needs a declaration of performance taking into consideration EN EN 1504-2:2004 Surface protection products - coating and the CE-marking. For the application and use the respective national provisions apply. The following data is required by the corresponding PCR B. | General comment on data set | Data quality: Specific data for the product composition are provided by the manufacturer. The data represent the production of the declared product and were collected for EPD development in the year of study. Background data is based on EPDs according to EN 15804 and different LCA databases. The data quality of the raw materials in A1 is presented in the table below. Allocation: The allocation is made in accordance with the provisions of EN 15804. Incoming energy and water and waste production in-house is allocated equally among all products through mass allocation. Effects of primary production of recycled materials is allocated to the main product in which the material was used. The recycling process and transportation of the material is allocated to this analysis. Cut-off criteria: All major raw materials and all the essential energy is included. The production processes for raw materials and energy flows with very small amounts (less than 1%) are not included. These cut-off criteria do not apply for hazardous materials and substances. |
