Use advice for data set The scope of this EPD is cradle to gate with options, modules C1-C4 and module D. No actions are necessary during User stage.
Technical purpose of product or process StoArmat Classic HD is an organic reinforcing compound/base coat with two-component Hybrid Drying Technology, which accelerates the drying process. It consists of a polymer dispersion binder, mineral fillers such as marble granulate, water and small amounts of additives. StoArmat Classic HD can be used as a thin-layered reinforcing compound or base coat for selected façade systems (e.g. StoTherm Classic® and StoVentec R). It excels as a levelling filler on mineral and organic substrates on walls in exterior application and is suited for use in a limited temperature window in damp and cold weather. The application process can be done by machine or manually, using a rust-free steel trowel. For the best result, StoArmat Classic HD has to be used with StoAdditiv HD in accordance with the application process detailed on the Technical Data Sheet. StoArmat Classic HD has the following properties: -base coat in accordance with EN 15824 -reaction to fire: class A2-s1, d0 in accordance with EN 13501-1, non-combustible -ready-to-use -resistant to cracking and mechanical stress For the placing on the market of the product in the European Union/European Free Trade Association (EU/EFTA) (with the exception of Switzerland) Regulation (EU) No. 305/2011 (CPR) applies. The product needs a declaration of performance taking into consideration EN 15824:2017 and the CE-marking. For the application and use the respective national provisions apply. The following data is required by the corresponding PCR B. Further information can be found on the Safety Data Sheet on www.sto.de. 1) This product contains substances listed in the candidate list (date: 18.03.2025) exceeding 0.1 percentage by mass: no. 2) This product contains other CMR substances in categories 1A or 1B which are not on the candidate list, exceeding 0.1 percentage by mass: no 3) Biocide products were added to this construction product or it has been treated with biocide products (this then concerns a treated product as defined by the (EU) Ordinance on Biocide Products No. 528/2012): yes 1,2-Benzisothiazol-3(2H)-on ; in-can preservative; >= 0,0025 - < 0,025 CAS-nr.: 2634-33-5 reaction mass of 5-Chlor-2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-on and 2-Methyl-2H;isothiazol-3-on (3:1); in-can preservative; >= 0,0002 - < 0,0015 CAS-nr.: 55965-84-9 The material composition of the declared mixed product is as stated below:

General comment on data set Data quality: Specific data for the product composition are provided by the manufacturer. The data represent the production of the declared product and were collected for EPD development in the year of study. Background data is based on EPDs according to EN 15804 and different LCA databases. The data quality of the raw materials in A1 is presented in the table below. Allocation: The allocation is made in accordance with the provisions of EN 15804. Incoming energy and water and waste production in-house is allocated equally among all products through mass allocation. Effects of primary production of recycled materials is allocated to the main product in which the material was used. The recycling process and transportation of the material is allocated to this analysis. Cut-off criteria: All major raw materials and all the essential energy is included. The production processes for raw materials and energy flows with very small amounts (less than 1%) are not included. These cut-off criteria do not apply for hazardous materials and substances.

1This impact category deals mainly with the eventual impact of low dose ionizing radiation on human health of the nuclear fuel cycle. It does not consider effects due to possible nuclear accidents, occupational exposure nor due to radioactive waste disposal in underground facilities. Potential ionizing radiation from the soil, from radon and from some construction materials is also not measured by this indicator.
2The results of this environmental impact indicator shall be used with care as the uncertainties on these results are high or as there is limited experiences with the indicator.
