Geographical representativeness description Europe.
Reference year 2024
Name
Pureline18
Technical purpose of product or process Particularly slim diffuser face, available in many variants and with various air pattern options for many installation situations. For more information see: https://www.trox.de/en/slot-diffusers/pureline18-1032107e09dbac01. Slot diffusers of Type PL18, with individually manually adjustable air control elements and 1 or 2 slots. Air distribution can be alternating horizontal, alternating angled, vertical, one-way horizontal to the left or one-way horizontal to the right. The slot diffusers are intended to be installed in suspended ceilings and are suitable for supply air and extract air. Ready-to-install component consisting of the face plate with optional black, grey or white air control blades. Variants with plenum box have 1 or 2 spigots; symmetrically positioned plenum boxes may have side entry or top entry spigots, while asymmetrically positioned plenum boxes have only side entry spigots. The plenum boxes are fitted with 4 suspension lugs. The diffuser face fixing can be detachable or non-detachable. Spigots are suitable for circular ducts according to EN 1506 or EN 13180. The sound power level of air-regenerated noise is measured according to EN ISO 5135. This EPD includes the environmental data of the product series Pureline18. The following represents a representative dataset of the most sold variant in the declared sales year (PL18-1-E1-SF-HS/700x700x98/1-LS).

General comment on data set Data quality: Specific data for the product composition are provided by the manufacturer. The data represent the production of the declared product and were collected for EPD development in the year of study. Background data is based on EPDs according to EN 15804 and different LCA databases. The data quality of the raw materials in A1 is presented in the table below. Allocation: The allocation is made in accordance with the provisions of EN 15804. Energy, water and waste production in-house is allocated equally among all products through mass allocation. Effects of primary production of recycled materials is allocated to the main product in which the material was used. The recycling process and transportation of the material is allocated to this analysis. Cut-off criteria: All major raw materials and all the essential energy is included. The production processes for raw materials and energy flows with very small amounts (less than 1%) are not included. These cut-off criteria do not apply for hazardous materials and substances.

Technological representativeness
Technology description including background system Nominal lengths: 600 – 2000 mm, in increments of 100 mm. No. of slots: 1 or 2. Minimum volume flow rate, with tz = -10 K: 5 l/s or 17 m³/h. Maximum volume flow rate, with LWA = 50 dB(A): 84 l/s or 302 m³/h. Supply air to room air temperature difference: -10 to +10 K. For more technical information see: https://www.trox.de/en/slot-diffusers/pureline18-1032107e09dbac01#technical-information. The distribution of materials in the products is approximately the same; only the total weight varies. The EPD is created for PL18. The factors in the table below can be used to scale LCA data for a new dimension.

1This impact category deals mainly with the eventual impact of low dose ionizing radiation on human health of the nuclear fuel cycle. It does not consider effects due to possible nuclear accidents, occupational exposure nor due to radioactive waste disposal in underground facilities. Potential ionizing radiation from the soil, from radon and from some construction materials is also not measured by this indicator.
2The results of this environmental impact indicator shall be used with care as the uncertainties on these results are high or as there is limited experiences with the indicator.
