Technical purpose of product or process The Prysmian N2XH PRO B2ca (s1a,d1, a1) is a low-fume, halogen-free (LS0H) cable with copper conductors. These flame retardant cables produce much less and lighter smoke than traditional PVC cables, and the resulting smoke is much less toxic. Since the cables have improved properties in the event of a fire, they are recommended for fixed installations in public buildings that are frequented by large crowds, e.g. industrial complexes, electric power plants, transformer stations, municipal facilities, hotels, shopping malls, hospitals, schools, airports and underground railways. It is also suitable for laying indoors, in the air or in concrete. Direct placement in soil or water is not permitted. In line with Prysmian's global sustainability commitments, the leader of this product is made from at least 30% recycled material. In addition, its production is supported by our green energy initiatives, including the use of solar energy from our factories' own solar parks. Data sheet: https://hu-catalogue.prysmian.com/s/#/family/N2XH_PRO_0,6-1KV_B2ca Conductor: Copper Conductor surface: Bare Core identification (according to HD 308S2): Yes Class 2 = stranded Insulation: XLPE Outer sheath: Low smoke zero halogen Cable shape: Round

General comment on data set Data quality: Specific data for the product composition are provided by the manufacturer. The data represent the production of the declared product and were collected for EPD development in the year of study. Background data is based on EPDs according to EN 15804 and different LCA databases. The data quality of the raw materials in A1 is presented in the table below. The data collection at the factory has been conducted during the following period: 01/2024-12/2024. This correspond to 12 months/ a year of production. Allocation: The allocation is made in accordance with the provisions of EN 15804. Incoming energy and water and waste production in-house is allocated equally among all products through mass allocation. Effects of primary production of recycled materials is allocated to the main product in which the material was used. The recycling process and transportation of the material is allocated to this analysis. Cut-off criteria: All major raw materials and all the essential energy is included. The production processes for raw materials and energy flows with very small amounts (less than 1%) are not included. These cut-off criteria do not apply for hazardous materials and substances.

1This impact category deals mainly with the eventual impact of low dose ionizing radiation on human health of the nuclear fuel cycle. It does not consider effects due to possible nuclear accidents, occupational exposure nor due to radioactive waste disposal in underground facilities. Potential ionizing radiation from the soil, from radon and from some construction materials is also not measured by this indicator.
2The results of this environmental impact indicator shall be used with care as the uncertainties on these results are high or as there is limited experiences with the indicator.
