Use advice for data set Product stage – Raw materials A1 Lintex has long term relations with its suppliers, and a continuous dialogue about environmental performance when extracting and producing raw materials and components. Waste and energy use at the suppliers are included in A1, as well as production of packaging material. Product stage – Transport A2 Transports are done by truck and/or ship from the supplier to Lintex manufacturing site in Nybro, Sweden. Product stage – Manufacturing A3 Manufacturing takes place in Nybro, Sweden and includes cutting, laminating, assembling and packaging. From 2022 and onward, the factory in Nybro is a net producer of renewable energy, thanks to geothermal heating and 4400 solar panels installed on our factory roof, producing around 1600 MWh annually.
Technical purpose of product or process A double-sided floor standing writing board with white or naturally anodised aluminium frame and white or grey plastic corners. The floor stand is in light grey with four castors, two of which are lockable. The central support also serves as a pen tray. The double-sided whiteboard with an aluminium frame is mounted on a movable steel stand. The wheels are made of steel and plastic. Two of the four wheels are lockable. The writing surface is made of ceramic steel, attached to a particle board. The ceramic steel comes with a life time warranty.

General comment on data set Data quality: Specific data for the product composition are provided by the manufacturer. They represent the production of the declared product and were collected for EPD development in the year of study. Background data is based on registered EPDs according to EN 15804, Ostfold Research databases, ecoinvent and other LCA databases. The data quality of the raw materials in A1 is presented in the table below. Allocation: The allocation is made in accordance with the provisions of EN 15804. Incoming energy and water and waste production in-house is allocated equally among all products through mass allocation. Effects of primary production of recycled materials is allocated to the main product in which the material was used. The recycling process and transportation of the material is allocated to this analysis. Cut-off criteria: All major raw materials and all the essential energy is included. The production processes for raw materials and energy flows with very small amounts (less than 1%) are not included. These cut-off criteria do not apply for hazardous materials and substances.

1This impact category deals mainly with the eventual impact of low dose ionizing radiation on human health of the nuclear fuel cycle. It does not consider effects due to possible nuclear accidents, occupational exposure nor due to radioactive waste disposal in underground facilities. Potential ionizing radiation from the soil, from radon and from some construction materials is also not measured by this indicator.
2The results of this environmental impact indicator shall be used with care as the uncertainties on these results are high or as there is limited experiences with the indicator.
