Use advice for data set The analysis is a cradle-to-grave study of one luminaire manufactured and installed, used according to a specific lighting regime over a specific lifetime, including waste treatment at end-of-life. A1-A5 includes the extraction and production of raw materials, transportation to the production site, the production process itself, transport to the market and assembly. B6 is the operational energy use stage of the luminaire based on a scenario. C1-C4 includes de-installation of the luminaire, average transport between building site and waste treatment facility, waste processing and disposal. Waste treatment of the product follows the default values provided in EN 50693. D shows the recyclability of metals and plastics, and allows the producers a credit for the net scrap that is produced at the end of a product’s life. The benefits from recycling of net scrap are described in formula from EN 15804:2012+A2:2019. Substitution of heat and electricity generated by the incineration with energy recovery of plastic insulation and other parts is also calculated in module D.
Technical purpose of product or process Glamox A90-P is decorative and tough luminaire with a design that satisfy both the requirements posed to an industrial luminaire and the high demands made by architects and light designers when it comes to aestheticism and functionality. Based on extensive requirements, the designers have developed a luminaire suitable for a wide range of applications, with mounting heights up to 10-12 metres. This environmental product declaration can be used for the following luminaires: A90112134 - A90-P1 LED 5000 DALI 830 F/OP C4 A90112132 - A90-P1 LED 5000 DALI 840 F/OP C4 A90112152 - A90-P1 LED 5000 DALI 940 F/OP C4 A90112159 - A90-P1 LED 5000 DALI 850 F/OP C4 A90112160 - A90-P1 LED 5000 DALI 930 F/OP C4

General comment on data set Data quality: Specific data for the product composition are provided by the manufacturer. The data represent the production of the declared product and were collected for EPD development in the year of study. Background data is based on EPDs according to EN 15804 and different LCA databases. The data quality of the raw materials in A1 is presented in the table below. Allocation: The allocation is made in accordance with the provisions of EN 15804. Incoming energy and water and waste production in-house is allocated equally among all products through mass allocation. Effects of primary production of recycled materials is allocated to the main product in which the material was used. The recycling process and transportation of the material is allocated to this analysis. Cut-off criteria: All major raw materials and all the essential energy is included. The production processes for raw materials and energy flows with very small amounts (less than 1%) can be excluded. These cut-off criteria do not apply for hazardous materials and substances.

1This impact category deals mainly with the eventual impact of low dose ionizing radiation on human health of the nuclear fuel cycle. It does not consider effects due to possible nuclear accidents, occupational exposure nor due to radioactive waste disposal in underground facilities. Potential ionizing radiation from the soil, from radon and from some construction materials is also not measured by this indicator.
2The results of this environmental impact indicator shall be used with care as the uncertainties on these results are high or as there is limited experiences with the indicator.
