Use advice for data set The analysis is a cradle-to-grave study made for one luminaire manufactured , installed and used in an indoor setting over the lifetime. Modules A1-A5 are included in the analysis. It includes the extraction and production of raw materials, transportation to the factory, the production process itself, transportation to market and installation of the product. B6 is the operational energy usage based on a normal use. C1-C4, D are mandatory modules which include end of life treatment of materials and the benefits from recycling.
Technical purpose of product or process The Vision luminaire is specifically designed to provide effective and discreet lighting for industrial facilities, warehouses, and retail storage areas. This luminaire is highly installation-friendly, featuring through-wiring with 5 x 2.5 mm² connections and a practical tool-free opening and closing mechanism. It can be easily mounted on walls or ceilings or suspended directly on wires. The luminaire comes equipped with a replaceable 60° lens for precise and efficient illumination. The use of replaceable lenses in lighting systems offers several advantages, including the ability to reduce the number of luminaires required. This leads to lower investment and maintenance costs, as well as more efficient lighting, which helps decrease energy consumption and provides significant savings on electricity bills over time. Key features: Ease of installation: Tool-free opening and closing mechanism with through-wiring (5 x 2.5 mm²) simplifies setup. Versatile mounting options: Suitable for wall, ceiling, or wire suspension installations. Replaceable lens: Includes a 60° lens for focused and efficient light distribution. Cost-efficiency: Reduces the number of required luminaires, minimizing installation and maintenance costs while improving energy efficiency.

General comment on data set Data quality: Specific data for the product composition are provided by the manufacturer. The data represent the production of the declared product and were collected for EPD development in the year of study. Background data is based on EPDs according to EN 15804 and different LCA databases. The data quality of the raw materials in A1 is presented in the table below. Allocation: The allocation is made in accordance with the provisions of EN 15804. Incoming energy and water and waste production in-house is allocated equally among all products through mass allocation. Effects of primary production of recycled materials is allocated to the main product in which the material was used. The recycling process and transportation of the material is allocated to this analysis. Cut-off criteria: All major raw materials and all the essential energy is included. The production processes for raw materials and energy flows with very small amounts (less than 1%) can be excluded. These cut-off criteria do not apply for hazardous materials and substances.

1This impact category deals mainly with the eventual impact of low dose ionizing radiation on human health of the nuclear fuel cycle. It does not consider effects due to possible nuclear accidents, occupational exposure nor due to radioactive waste disposal in underground facilities. Potential ionizing radiation from the soil, from radon and from some construction materials is also not measured by this indicator.
2The results of this environmental impact indicator shall be used with care as the uncertainties on these results are high or as there is limited experiences with the indicator.
