Use advice for data set Cradle-to-grave; A1-A3, A4-A5, B1-B7, C1-C4 and D. Modules B1-B7 are not relevant as the product need neither maintenance, repair, replacement, refurbishment nor use energy or water.
Technical purpose of product or process Knauf Classic Board LOWR is a construction product used as a plasterboard and primarily for drywall construction of interior walls and ceilings. Applicable for simple room-separating structures as well as fire-rated and sound insulated constructions. The plasterboard is made of industrial gypsum, with additions of recycled gypsum, cardboard and glass fiber. The product is recyclable and is available in various widths, lengths and edge designs. Weight: 8,6 kg/m2 Thickness: 12,5 mm Width: 900 mm or 1200 mm Length: See www.knauf.se Knauf Classic Board LOWR is available in different widths and lengths, but with the same thickness. Therefore, there are no variation of the product per square meter and this EPD covers all available widths and lengths.

General comment on data set Data quality: Specific data for the product composition are provided by the manufacturer. The data represent the production of the declared product and were collected for EPD development in the year of study. Background data is based on EPDs according to EN 15804 and different LCA databases. The data quality of the raw materials in A1 is presented in the table below. The EPD is based on 12 months of production data, from August 2024 – July 2025. Allocation: The allocation is made in accordance with the provisions of EN 15804. Incoming energy and water and waste production in-house is allocated equally among all products through mass allocation. Effects of primary production of recycled materials is allocated to the main product in which the material was used. The recycling process and transportation of the material is allocated to this analysis. Polluter-Pays (PP) allocation is used. This implies that credit for e.g. recycling or energy recover is given to those who use recycled resources rather than those who produce recyclable resources. Guidlines ISO 14040/14044 Cut-off criteria: All major raw materials and all the essential energy is included. The production processes for raw materials and energy flows with very small amounts (less than 1%) are not included when specific information are missing. These cut-off criteria do not apply for hazardous materials and substances.

1This impact category deals mainly with the eventual impact of low dose ionizing radiation on human health of the nuclear fuel cycle. It does not consider effects due to possible nuclear accidents, occupational exposure nor due to radioactive waste disposal in underground facilities. Potential ionizing radiation from the soil, from radon and from some construction materials is also not measured by this indicator.
2The results of this environmental impact indicator shall be used with care as the uncertainties on these results are high or as there is limited experiences with the indicator.
