Shape Recycling Unit
Technical purpose of product or process Dynamic and practical storage with a focus on flexibility and options to meet the unique needs of each room. All modules can be combined horizontally. Shape Storage is a flexible and climate-smart storage that can both grow and change along with the need. The Shape Storage series is designed to withstand daily use and high wear and tear in environments such as our offices, workplaces, and public spaces. The modules can be used individually or combined to create practical storage solutions, tranquil seating areas with a room within a room, or stylish shelves for decoration. Shape Recycling Units are available with one, two, or three cabinets, each equipped with doors and optional apertures for waste disposal on the top (one per cabinet). Alternatively, units can be configured without apertures and with drawers instead of doors. Doors, drawers and carcasses are available in a wide range of colors and veneers. More information about the product can be found here: https://www.edsbyn.com/products/shape/storage/ Office furniture, Recycling Unit - Shape Recycling Unit H:2s - 3 cabinets. (Doors are calculated separately in options). Carcass in melamine faced chipboard with matching ABS edge strip. The crest top featuring three waste disposal apertures, are constructed with a 16 mm MDF core and a high-pressure laminate (HPL) surface layer, complemented by matching ABS edge strips. Shape Recycling Unit with 3 cabinets (3 width x 1 height) measures: Width 1213 mm, Depth 501 mm (485 mm without doors). Total Height (2s) varies depending on your choice of plinth: - 785 mm without plinth - 815 mm with plinth 30 mm - 913 mm with plinth 128 mm - 1105 mm with plinth 320 mm. Other shapes, sizes and materials of the carcass are calculated in Variants. Doors and plinths are calculated separately in Options.

General comment on data set Data quality: Specific data for the product composition are provided by the manufacturer. They represent the production of the declared product and were collected for EPD development in the year of study. Background data is based on registered EPDs according to EN 15804, Ostfold Research databases, ecoinvent and other LCA databases. The data quality of the raw materials in A1 is presented in the table below. Allocation: The allocation is made in accordance with the provisions of EN 15804. Incoming energy and water and waste production in-house is allocated equally among all products through mass allocation. Effects of primary production of recycled materials is allocated to the main product in which the material was used. The recycling process and transportation of the material is allocated to this analysis. Cut-off criteria: All major raw materials and all the essential energy is included. The production processes for raw materials and energy flows with very small amounts (less than 1%) are not included. These cut-off criteria do not apply for hazardous materials and substances.

1This impact category deals mainly with the eventual impact of low dose ionizing radiation on human health of the nuclear fuel cycle. It does not consider effects due to possible nuclear accidents, occupational exposure nor due to radioactive waste disposal in underground facilities. Potential ionizing radiation from the soil, from radon and from some construction materials is also not measured by this indicator.
2The results of this environmental impact indicator shall be used with care as the uncertainties on these results are high or as there is limited experiences with the indicator.
