Technical purpose of product or process | ÖLFLEX CLASSIC 115 CY BK cables are control cables for occasional flexible use and fixed installation under medium mechanical load conditions. They are also suitable for use in dry, damp or wet areas. They are suitable for outdoor use if the indicated temperature range is observed. They are largely resistant to acids, alkalis and certain oils at room temperature. ÖLFLEX CLASSIC 115 CY BK cables are suitable for occasional, non-automated movements. They meet the requirements for slow rotational movements, such as in the loop of a wind turbine. The maximum tensile load is 15 N/mm² of conductor cross-section during installation and operation. Compulsory guidance is not permitted. The screening braid protects against interference from electrical fields. Application range: Control units for machine tools, conveyor systems, measurement and control technology, office machines and systems for data processing. This cable is suitable for torsion application in wind turbines (WTG). The torsional load is limited to applications, as they typically occur in the loop of a wind turbine. General comment on data set | Data quality: Specific data for the product composition are provided by the manufacturer. The data represent the production of the declared product and were collected for EPD development in the year of study. Background data is based on EPDs according to EN 15804 and different LCA databases. The data quality of the raw materials in A1 is presented in the table below. Allocation: The allocation is made in accordance with the provisions of EN 15804. Incoming energy and water and waste production in-house is allocated equally among all products through mass allocation. Effects of primary production of recycled materials is allocated to the main product in which the material was used. The recycling process and transportation of the material is allocated to this analysis. Cut-off criteria: All major raw materials and all the essential energy is included. The production processes for raw materials and energy flows with very small amounts (less than 1%) are not included. These cut-off criteria do not apply for hazardous materials and substances. |
